This video shows a side-by-side comparison of two blasts -- one with Varistem stemming plugs, and one without. Both explosions is this example demonstration video use drilling cuttings as stemming material.

You can clearly see the difference between the plugged and non-plugged blasts. Our stem hole plugs provide better confinement of blast force into the ore mass, which results in better ore fragmentation, ore milling savings, and better blast control (less fly rock, noise, and dust).
